Weekly Message from the Pastor - Nov. 10, 2017

November 10, 2017
Dear Friends,
This Sunday is Veteran’s Day Sunday. We look forward to hearing some re$ec&ons on military service.
To me, those who serve in the military, and their families, give us examples of what it looks like to
answer a call; to serve with others for a greater good, and a willingness to sacri*ce. These hallmarks
are similar to what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
We are grateful to people who say, ”yes” to serving. We want to show apprecia&on for those who serve.
We con&nue to pray for those on ac&ve duty and also remember those who have completed their
service. We pray for healing for those who bear the scars, some seen and others unseen, from their
experience. We also show gra&tude and express our sorrow for those who gave the ul&mate sacri*ce for
their service.
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.
Yours in Christ,
Linda Monroe
PS – If you haven’t already submi4ed your pledge card for 2018 giving, please bring it this Sunday. We will bless all the pledge cards during the worship services
