Weekly Message from the Pastor - Jan. 5, 2018

January 5, 2018

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! I think of a new year like a blank notepad, waiting to record our observations, reflections, and our experiences. We don’t know what those experiences will be – some joyful, others challenging, and some transformative. Journeying in a new year leads us into unchartered territories.

This Sunday, we begin 2018 reflecting on: Unchartered Territory. Think about ancient explorers who headed out to explore places that were unknown to them. As we begin 2018, we are heading into territory that is unknown to us. What will we need for the journey? What will we discover? Where can we look for guidance? How will we respond to challenges? How will we have to adapt? As people of faith, how will our relationship with Jesus Christ guide our journey?

I look forward to journeying with you as we explore the unchartered territory of a new year together. A reminder that a new year is a time when people are reflecting on their lives and are looking for guidance. The church has much to offer them in their seeking. Please invite someone who does not have a church home to join you for worship. I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.

Yours in Christ,
