As we intentionally seek to draw closer to God during the season of Lent, I hope that you find spiritual practices that are helpful. Many people find walking a labyrinth an enriching means of prayer and meditation. The opportunity to walk the labyrinth at Buckhall UMC in the fellowship hall is available:
- Thursday, 3/1 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- Saturday, 3/3 from 10:00am to noon
- Tuesday, 3/6 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- Friday, 3/9 from 10:00am to noon
Invite a friend to join you in walking the labyrinth. It is a way to help someone encounter God in, perhaps, a deeper way.
In worship, we will continue our “Freedom” series, where we look at the Exodus story and how God called Moses to play a significant role in freeing the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. The journey was fraught with many obstacles.
This Sunday we will reflect on our journey with God and the obstacles that spring up from within ourselves; those time when we decline God’s request to serve. As you reflect on your own journey, was there a time when you said, “No”, “Not now”, or “I’m not qualified” in response to God’s call? What was God’s response?
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.
Yours in Christ,
