Who are you? There are a myriad of ways that we identify ourselves. If you are married, you are someone’s spouse; or if you have children, you’re a parent. If you grew up with siblings then you are someone’s sister or brother. You are someone’s friend; or employee; or supervisor. We are a mix of roles and each role commands something different from us. The ways we respond to our children is usually different from how we respond to a co-worker.
This Sunday, we will reflect on the roles we take on and how the different ways we identify ourselves may call from us differing responses to the people we encounter. Think about your roles as a child of God, a follower of Jesus Christ, a member of the body of Christ. How might these roles impact how we respond to others and the world around us?
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday. Please continue to pray for Buckhall, that we continue to find ways to reach out to people who do not have a church home.
Yours in Christ,
