Weekly Message from the Pastor - Aug. 24, 2018

August 24, 2018

Dear Friends,

This Sunday we will conclude our series on Superheroes with a story that reminds us that help can come to us from the most unlikely sources. We lean toward listening to people who have the official credentials of education, professional accreditation, and years of experience. But sometimes help comes from those that others may not readily notice. Yet, these are people who notice what is going on, can see possibilities where others see problems; and who are willing to speak up in order to offer help. Who might that be in your own life? Who is that wise person in your life?

In preparation for students, teachers, and school administrators returning to the rhythm of the school year, and recognizing that in other workplaces the work pace picks up, we are blessing backpacks and work bags. We do this as a reminder that wherever we find ourselves throughout the week, we are in the presence of God. So please bring your backpack or work bag and invite a friend to join in the blessing.

I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.

Yours in Christ,

Linda
